I want to buy something on the internet when i have got to the payment page I saw a Red! over the padlock. IS THIS A SAFT SIRE TO USE? Many thanks

Is this is Chrome by any chance? Chances are that the secure site is accessing a normal http one. A padlock or https is no guarantee of safety though. Only use a site if you trust it.
If the web page mixes both secure and insecure data, then a lock icon with a red slash over it is shown instead. This means that the current web page contains items (such as images or frames) that were not obtained through the encrypted connection.
