Tromso
2 Answers
Watched a documentary on Monday called Back From the Dead about a method of extreme cooling as treatment for apparent heart and brain death. At one point, the doctor presenting the programme was driving to a hospital in Tromso, Norway, when his car was delayed by a group of what appeared to be nurses marching along the street playing drums!
Couldn't decide if they were actual nurses or a group - at a festival perhaps - pretending to be and there was no explanation offered. Did anyone else see this and, if so, have you the faintest idea what was going on?
I tried googling and there is some suggestion that the name Tromso may be related to the word tromma meaning drum, if that is any help. Maybe they have to march thus to work every morning, I don't know. Thanks for any meaningful response.

The two suggestions I got there seemed sensible, namely that it might have been a stag-party outing or a student-rag prank. I did get another look at the incident on i-player and I have to say some of the "ladies" DID seem rather masculine!
Secondly, it IS me, but I am on here virtually every day, so I'm surprised that you haven't come across my name for ages. As regards the Apricot/Thugulike transformation, it's amazing how long it takes one to realise that a regular has even disappeared. I suppose it depends to a large extent on what categories one frequents and which specific questions one switches in to. Anyway, it's good to see you're still around, as it were.
