My mum used to have a phone that told you how much credit you had left, after you finished a call.

That one broke, and now she has a new one that she keeps running out of credit with because she forgets to ring the number to find out, which she hates.

Does anyone know of a cheap mobile, with this function?

If you get a tesco mobile it's texts you your credit after every call/text. You also get triple credit.

I'm with Virgin mobile but don't have to top up as it's on monthy direct debit. No contract needed and my last bill was £1.46. In the past I've had zero bills.

Triple credit is only with tesco I think. See, if £10 last her that long imagine how long £30 will last.

o2 also tell you your balance every time you end your call or send a text, this is good for some people,

Get an ASDA sim. cost 45p. Calls 8p per min and texts 4p. £5 lasts me a month.
