I donate to several charities, most local and all in Britain, there are enough needy cases in this country that could benefit from a bit of the millions sent abroad each year.

Yes I have - it's an immediate situaiton that needs addressing and innocent kids are dying in their droves which is why I donated.
My ex wife is championing the 'Born without HIV' campaign which is the other charity I'm supporting this year.

Like boobi I give through my pension, but to the NSPCC. With a finite amount of income you have to draw the line somewhere.

Not convinced that all the money donated actually reaches those in need. By money I mean in the form of food, medical supplies etc.

I donate to the rspca and nspcc.

I intermittently give money to medicin sans frontieres and they are working in the area....at least the money is spent on providing care rather than directly by the governments involved...I also support IFAW as many of the worlds poorer communities are dependent on their animals but no I haven't given directly to the Pakistan appeal...
