Cold Sores

My 7yr old grandson has been bothered with a cold sore just inside his nasal and I would like a recommendation that wont cause him discomfort to clear it up please.tia.

Odd place for a cold sore....sure it isn´t impetigo?
GP will confirm and will prescribe antibiotic cream .
