Morning all from a VERY wet Sussex. It's to be hoped it'll brighten up later. Need to do some gardening, i.e. the last "tidy up" of the year but it looks as though that'll have to wait. Hope the sun breaks through later for everyone. xx

Persisting in Birmingham... got home at 1930 yesterday and another 0700 start today .... last for a while though....has it been light at all during the last few days? if it has I've missed it.

Morning all. Finally stopped raining in Hastings. At least it's put the fire out on the pier.

What is it that makes piers so inflammable...the wood is always wet......seems like at least one catches fire every year.....

Very true Rowan. It is very sad though as the Council were just about to restore it. Not sure if there's enough left to restore now.

funny that...it seems to be a pattern.....not suspicious but yes we will restore pier....popular with public... oh dear too badly damaged insurance not enough can't do it now...phew that was lucky we didn't have the money to restore it anyway...
