I have a membership with findmypast but not ancestry at the moment. I am trying to find a marriage of Sarah Ann Hodson and John Lord, probably in Rochdale. I am not entirely sure but there may be a page missing on findmypast , either that or no-one with the surname Hodson got married in that quarter. Anyway, in the quarter ending Dec 1850 there are two John Lords (common as muck those Lords!) who got married in Rochdale and I would be very grateful if someone could check if there was a Sarah Hodson who also got married then.

Betty Heyworth; Rachel Dyson; Alice Pendleton or Charlotte Isherwood.

No Sarah A or Sarah Hodson registered at rochdale in that q

Thanks for trying. These people are so frustrating! And do you know how many John Lords there were in Rochdale?!!! Never mind, one day I'll track them down! Thank you so much for your time.
It's 21 648 the other John Lord, i know it is a very east lancashire name ! Anyway, in that quarter there is a sarah clegg with the same reference, the others are Eliza Norminton, Peggy Fitton aNd Jane Holt, all 21 648 so same church register as the john lord. Why do you think it is that quarter?
A John Lord married a Sarah Hodgson on 04 MAR 1851 Saint Mary, Bury, Lancashire, England

That'll be it! Blimey what a palaver I've had - on one childs birth certificate the maiden name of Sarah was Wodson, on all the others it's Hodson and now I find it's Hodgson! This could be interesting as this is my family I'm looking at, but my Mother-in-Laws maiden name was also Hodgson. Now I wonder if there's some connection way back when.............

Thank you very much for your help, it is much appreciated.
That's from the IGI craft but the original parish record for Bury St Mary is not on the

site, shame really as it would give all the details.

That's a great website, why have I not discovered it before now? But I'm confused (again!), having a look to 'test' it out I looked up my Gt Grandad (another one!) only to find that he was baptised seven years before he was born - either that or I've gone wrong somewhere, or there were two children born to the same parents with exactly the same name (and I mean middle name aswell). Oh well, that's another one to worry about!
