i was caught in the drivers seat of a vehicle drunk the keys were in the ignition but i was not driving could i get away with the charge
i was sitting in the driver seat of a vehicle with the keys in the igniton i was drun k but was not actually driving the vehicle could i get awya with it

In answer to the question then no you won't get away with it. I know someone who got done for drink driving and went on a course, he was told of people who had been charged just for having the car keys in their hand when they were only getting something that was previously left in the vehicle.
sitting in the driving seat, keys in the ignition, no chance whatsoever of getting away with that, your only chance will be your plea i.e. I need to drive for my job.expect a heavy fine and a ban and when you get the license back your insurance will be sky high.
Always remember a cab home when intoxicated, even if its £50 is a lot cheaper than paying for a year's cabs when banned.Sorry to be so negative but I think you already know the answer.
