The car has been washed, polished and hoovered - Mr. Sheen has been applied and my hallway is full of football and gym gear, numerous empty sport drink cans, empty crisp packets, sweet wrappers and a new air freshner installed.

Me thinks my son has a date tonight. ha ha

thanks for your answer bobbi - but how did you get the personal phone number and personal email without them being known here to all and sundry
I really can't remember now Conn, it has been a while, but if someone does want to phone you or email you, there are ways of contacting eachother, perhaps it was through a third party now, I really can't remember..sorry

yep, he is still a casual postman (casual being he operative word !) - but he has nearly completed his Personal Trainer Course.
yes I think I saw you said that DEN, I would imagine theres quite a demand for a PT for people, good luck to him
DEN, your son sounds just like mine. Never brought anybody home whilst he lived at home and never took kindly to my questions. When I was allowed to 'meet' his partner, I knew it must be the real thing. He was 24 at the time!! Mind you I tried to avoid my mum seeing any of my boyfriends too.
i took everyone home, even the very briefest of encounters. my mum and dad were very non-judgemental and welcoming, in fact i think some of my boyfriends were keener on being part of the family than they were on me!! my parents never stood on ceremony, everyone was included in everything, they really were great. i sometimes used to feel a bit left out at school when everyone was moaning about theirs, i had nothing to moan about and all my friends loved coming to our house.
i just wish these two sons of mine lived nearer and could enjoy that sort of relationship with us :(
Eth. I tried to avoid my mum seeing my boyfriends because she was likely to flirt with them and try to lure them away from me. Both my parents were very modern and outgoing and very accepting of everybody (the had some great parties) but Mum was just too much at times and she wanted to know every little detail of my relationships, so I swiftly learned to not say very much to her.
