i was cautioned at the train station by police because of ticket fraud
i'm studying pharmacy and has been cautioned because of ticket fraud (i used someone's ticket to travel on the train). i was not arrested but i signed a form and was told not to do it again. will this affect my registration as a pharmacist and how long will it be on my record?

I understand that you would need an enhanced Criminal Records check in order to practice as a pharmacist, but I don't know whether something like this would show up.

Try a google search on Cautions, Just found this on one site
Some coppers I have been told say things like 'its only a caution, its only recorded locally, it won't affect your later life, its nothing'
Just to get you to sign the form causing as little paperwork as possible.
A caution is actually a conviction and you are on the systems for life with at least 3 reference numbers including a national and international ( schengen when it goes live for the UK and for the commonwealth) CRO number (criminal records office).
People should be aware that a caution isn't a let off or a chance it can stain your character forever.
Sorry to sound doom and gloom but people should think carefully before accepting a caution to get out of custody quickly.
Good luck whatever happens.

according to the old man you have been questioned for fraud which it seems you have admitted, the police appear to have given you a caution which you have accepted by signing a form. Unless a full Criminal Records check is required for your registration you should be ok. you could try making an appointment with your local
