In the legal profession, what does A.Inst.LEx mean and what are their powers?

A.Inst.L.Ex = Associate Member of the Institute of Legal Executives. See 'Associate member' here for the requirements for that class of membership:

As you'll see by reading further down that link, Associate Membership is granted to those who are still on the way to becoming fully qualified as legal executives. If you're unfamiliar with the term 'legal executive', this offers an explanation:

I think it means they are an associate of the institute of Legal Executives ?
What are their powers? It depends on the context. The person is probably an employee of a legal department or a legal practice and may have no powers of their own as an individual.
What are the circumstances and someone may be able to give a more specific answer.
