Being John Malkovich

Does anyone know if the scenes in Being John Malkovich where Maxine and Lotty are running through his subconcious are based on real parts of John Malkovich's childhood - where the kids are taunting him on the school bus or he's on a date ? I can't seem to find any interviews on the net with him about the film.

I doubt it, it was written by a guy called Charlie Kaufman, who says in interviews that he wrote the script and then picked the name Malkovich because it sounded funny in repetition and the actor was available!
