Well I've plugged in the electric heater in the conservatory and I'm just imbibing a glass of NZ Sauv. There's Verdejo and Cava in the fridge (sorry, but the prosecco's gone) and we have some kettle crisps, salted peanuts and some cheesy Quavers to snack on.

I can blast out anything you care to listen to on You Tube, or stick the radio on and hope for the best.

How is everyone this evening, and what's your poison?

Just had a couple of glasses of Pinot Grigio, now laying into a bottle of Blossom Hill 'soft fruity red'. I'm not too bad thanks - been worse ;-)

Koperberg Pear Cider is lovely on a warm day in a tall glass with plenty of ice.

Mamyalynne I've just googled milk stout as I also have never heard of it, Is it like guinness?

Not dissimilar, a bit lighter.

Milk Stout is nice Makesons or Jubilee, it's a sweeter drink than Guinness, and not quite as thick, lan shan. I seem to remember my mother in law saying that they used to put a hot poker in it if you weren't feeling well. Never tried it though.

Do they sell milk stout in Tesco or any of the other supermarkets?

Try a Mackeson most supermarkets will have it, used to be given to nursing mothers way back.

I've never noticed it lan shan, maybe an off-licence shop would stock it. Haven't had one for years.
