I've no idea whether it was for a fancy dress event or not, but I was surprised to look out of the window of a London bus to see a Dalek moving along the pavement ;-)

I like the effort people go to especially when its something hot or uncomfortable, I once saw a giant ladybird trying to squeeze onto the bus one evening. thats dedication..

I had a furry banana get on a bus I was on once.

I have to say, my route home is via studentville and it's pretty normal to see some pretty abnormal things on my buses, especially in Fresher's Week/end of terms etc...

I went to a fancy dress party as a Martini girl once. Dry Martini was my favourite drink in those days so I wrote to the Martini distributors for anything they had to make a fancy dress. They sent me loads of stuff, I made a dress out of Martini material and earings out of bottle tops, loads of other stuff as well. I made my face up like aunt Sally off Wurzelgumage, anyway I won but never got a photo.

My brother and his girlfriend went as Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of Kiss. Only one person knew who they were. It was in the late 1980's before "classic rock" became popular again!

Anything "cyber punk" - lots of metallised acryllic sheeting, corrugated aluminium tubing, fake wires/electronics.

the one i made my daughter when she told me at the last min the party she was going to in an hours time was fancy in and she forgot to tell me.
so a black bin liner was pulled out of the drawer, a hole for the head and two holes for both arms were cut out , empty crisps packets and sweet wrappers were stuck on and taa daa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she was a wheelie bin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
