/// Patel pleaded guilty to two charges of abusing her position of trust by sexual misconduct.///

If that is all she is guilty of the sentence should not be too harsh.

No mention of the word paedophilia, or is it only the male of the species that can be called paedophiles?

not really, i'd also think if it was the other way round, that a 15 year old girl would know more about sex than most people would like to think too.
I think its disgusting, that they never had teachers like that when I was 15

I think that plenty of 15 yr old schoolboys would willingly have sex with a female teacher who they found attractive..........and not many would be traumatised and need counselling afterwards

Woman in the picture does nothing for me though, very plain and average looking
I don't see the necessity to mention paedophilia............she will go on the sex offenders register whatever.
"No mention of the word paedophilia . . ."

Of course not. The word refers to sexual activity with (or attraction to) a pre-pubescent child. A 15-year-old lad is almost certainly not 'pre-pubescent'.

For example, Jonathan King might be regarded as a 'pervert', a 'sexual predator' or many other things. But (because the victims of his crimes were all post-puberty) he's most certainly NOT a paedophile.
