Can anyone recommend a solicitor in the Kingston on Thames area who is competitively priced, for conveyancing please?

It is true, you don't have to be anywhere near your solicitor as it can all be done by e.mail, phone and post.
Licenced conveyancers can be cheaper but to a certain extent it depends on the kind of service you want, as my mum always said, you get what you pay for.

Sorry, that wasn't meant to be a slight on LC's (some of the best lawyers I know aren't qualified), was more referring to the influx of sausage factory conveyancing.
Do you know anyone local who has had conveyancing done recently who can recommend someone? Local agents usually had a good idea of decent local people as well though some do refer for kickbacks as is probably more common now.
Definitely see if you can get a discount, it's a client's market at the mo, work is slow and firms need the business.
