Terrified JR

Have just been talking to a bloke training his peregrine falcon in the field next to me,it had its kill on the floor eating it ( dead when I got there or I wunta stopped ! ) When he'd gone I took my JR's into the field, and when they got to the place where the bird had been, one of them went terrified, tail down and running blindly in all directions in a panic. Not even her ball could bring her round. What was the problem do you think ??

No doubt it smelled the bird. Maybe it had a bad experience with a bird of prey when it was mistaken for a rabbit while it was a pup.

Don't know about fresh kill, but we occasionally get dogs panic near our pet stall when they smell the cooked bones or pigs ears.
