REDUNDANCY ISSUES
someone i work with has just been given a redundancy consultation letter, it gives him a different job title/role to the one he has, when queried the answer given was 'we changed your job title so we could make you redundant' he has had no prior warning of this.
Any comments on the implications of this ?

Dear Boss
I refer to the redundancy consultation letter given to me on xxxx in which you advised me that I was at risk of being declared redundant. I note that the Job Title given in the letter does not match that in my letter of engagement dated xxxx. I was engaged as a <Projects Wrangler> and yet you now refer to my job title as a <Programme Wriggler>. When I asked you about this change on xxxxxx, you advised me that you had made this change such that I could be included in a pool for potential redundancy.
I do not consider that this action is reasonable and I wish to initiate a grievance.
