blood stains

anyone know how to get bloodstains out of a mattress?  my sister was here the other week and had a nosebleed but didnt tell me about it.  just flipped the mattress over.  dont know how to go about getting the blood out.

try vanish..you can buy it in a spray..and in powder form it usually moves any stain..

Hydrogen peroxide works great on fresh bloodstains -- it bubbles the proteins out of the blood and then you launder normally (or for a matterss I guess sponge it)
It's worth a try for an older stain.
How did you find it? Do you flip your matteresses weekly?

no, i know i shud tho.  i flip it whenever i remember.
