help with wireles router problem

can anyone enlighten me on why my wireless router would suddenly stop working. ive had to plug in my old modem to use computer. ive tried all the bog standard troubleshooting ideas e.g. restting , powering off.

the computer, laptop and playstation are all seeing the router but the router isnt connecting to the internet.

im not very computer savvy and i just dont get it!!

its a belking wireless router

Things break - sounds like your router has - you've done a good job of fault finding, all evidence points to your router breaking.
It's possible it was a dirty connection, fixed by unplugging and replugging the cable into the phone socket, or maybe the broadband was down for a while and has now started working again - have you tried plugging the router back in, now that you've proved the broadband connection is functional?

yes i tried plugging it back in. thanks for the reply vagrant looks like id better go and buy a new router then.

any views on a wireless router with a good range so that my son has a good signal for his ps3 uptsairs
