A Router?
9 Answers
Hi, it's techno-duffer again. In one of my telephone sockets, I've got a Speed Touch ADHL (I think) filter which, I guess, is for my access to broadband, but is this what is called a router? If not, what is a router?...the phone socket is nowhere near my pc tower, if that's any use either. Ta Muchly.

The simple way to tell if you have a router or a modem is a router will generally have at least 4 or 5 ethernet ports on it whereas a modem will have none (if it's a USB modem) or just one.
