Has anyone ever heard of UWP or have had experience working with them? Can't find too much information about them and want to make sure they are a legitimate business providing good service. Thanks..

I've just checked the website of the world's biggest (physical) bookshop, Foyle's (on Charing Cross Road, London). I've entered loads of the 'new' and 'recently published' titles, listed on the UWP website. Although a couple of them are immediately available online (from Foyle's warehouse) and the others are listed as 'available to order', not a single copy is on the shelves at Charing Cross Road.
That suggests that Foyle's regards UWP as a 'vanity' publisher or, at the very least, a publisher producing books which aren't worthy of being put out on display in their shop.

I've bought two books from them unaware of the publisher when purchased. I bought one book about America which I adored and another which is full of ghost stories. I found both through the featured section on my iPad, so they must have good relationships with Apple (the largest company in the world). I watched the Apple Event yesterday and Steve Jobs mentioned in the the questions and answer session that he enjoyed the ghost book I mentioned earlier which would suggest that this business is either very very large or a branch from another big publisher. Is Steve likely to praise a book just on merit? I think he said that because one of the big publishers is trying out the iBookstore under another name and Steve wants them to sign up to the ibook store so he paraises one of their titles so they have good sales?
Despite that the books I've read via them on my iPad are excellent. They lay everything out superbly and spacing of titles ect is done really well unlike many other books I have read. They put a huge amount of attention to detail in the way it looks and presentaion (i'm a sucker for charm hence I bought an ipad) I am tempted to pre order a new title from them realised later this month about the bible written by a humanist. I am a humanist myself so that will probably be my next purchase from them however I can't find it anywhere on the iBookstore but they have tweeted about it several times?
