First of all, yes you should uninstall the unused version. Second, if you install another norton antivirus, it will delete the other one for you. And last, you can always uninstall and reinstall your current norton and get an additional year out of it.
Having 2 anti-virus programs on a PC is usually a recipe for disaster. Uninstall Norton and download AVG 7.0. It gets along fine with Zone Alarm. (Well, they work fine together on my PC and I know several others who use this combination but please don't hold me responsible if they start fighting each other on your machine!).
I know that if you reinstall it, it will tell you that it expires in 1 year. I just made a phone call to check on it and i was told that norton codes thier installation cd's now so that they know when it was first installed after your first update. So in other words, you will continue to get 2004 updates only. Sorry to mislead you on my first post. But like i said, most of the time two security programs will conflict if they are both used at the same time. Also if you use an updated norton, make sure that the other is deleted or uninstalled if it doesnt do it by its self.
..lol...wow glit...you must be really short of cash..it costs only around ONE POUND a week to have the anti virus and firewall..........one pound a week is NO MONEY....just pay up son...commoner <G>
I didn't say that ZA was NO good, just that there are better. ZA seems more inclined to conflict with Windows Updates and various other software, especially p2p software.
In particular, it can tend to lead to corrupt downloads when using, for example, DC++
