Talkntalk - say it's 1p per minute to dial New Zealand landline - but I have to dial an 0844 number. Does this mean the 0844 number is only 1p per minute, or am I dialling a Premium Rate number (0844) and paying for that, as well as 1p per minute for New Zealand? Can someone please make this easy to understand??

I on a regular basis call abroad , africa, asia, far and middle east and use www.call2abroad.com either from my mobile or landline.
0844/0845 /07744. DONT USE THESE numbers you will be paying a fortune.
call2abroad use 02084978844, which you can check with your network at what rate you will be charged.
Remember Not to use the DIAL button at the end of your destination number. You must use the # key.
