Backdated csa payments

Here's one for you....

My exwife is trying to claim maintenance from the csa and get it backdated. I pain maintenance for our two sons but did it in cash and i have no record of payments made.

The thing is my sons are now 22 and 20 years old, can the csa go back that far and force me to make backdated apyments if I have no records.....?

Any help would be appreaciated many thanks.

what have the csa to say about it? they have been in contact i presume, or else how do you know?

A similar situation happened with my brother - he received a demand for £70,000!!!! Eventually they believed him when he told them he had been sending money to his ex for 16 years ( until his daughter went to live with him) his ex apparently had to admit it.
Won't your sons be able to verify your story?
