If you weigh yourself you might find you haven`t lost weight because you will be building muscle which weighs heavier. Do you actually have any fat on you? If you are solid, then that is your natural body shape. If you have fat on you, well I must admit I`m a great believer that you don`t lose weight from exercise alone. If you combine it with a diet you will. It tends to be calories in, versus energy out (the first being less than the second)
Stick with the exercise. It will do you and your heart good as long as you don`t overdo it. I joined WW in February last year because I was 1.5 stone overweight. It worked. It wasn`t easy but if you follow the plan and eat lots of veg you shouldn`t be hungry. Don`t expect too much too soon. A realistic aim is to lose 1 to 2 lbs per week. It will take time but it will be worth it in the end. Good luck
A friend of mine has been doing a similar thing - he was worried that he'd developed a rather rotund tummy and decided to join the gym. He goes most mornings before work but he has also incorporated exercise into his day too. He walks to the gym and then to and from work. It is a fair distance, and I have to admit to being impressed. His tummy has been reducing slowly, and he mainly concerns himself with his percantage of body fat, rather than getting obsessed with weight. Seems to be working. Might you be able to incorporate more walking into your day?
