Scandal of sham marriages
I always knew that if a foreign person married a UK national, then the foreign person was allowed to stay in the UK (quite rightly).
But it seems that rule applies from any person from the EU who happens to be in the UK at the time of their marriage, their foreign bride or groom is allowed to stay in the UK.
This low life person from Portgual married a woman from Nigeria so SHE could stay in the UK.

Why should a person from Portugal be allowed to define who stays in the UK, particulalry when they both seem to be the dregs of humanity.
Is this another one of theose EU rules that has saddled us with all sorts of people we dont want here.
Yet again joining the EU has proved to be a disaster.

Not an EU rule, VHG.
Anyone who is a citizen of an EEA country [EEA = the EU plus several others in the Economic Area, such as Norway and Iceland] has the right to reside in the UK provided that they can support themselves without being an undue burden on public finances. After 5 years they can apply for permanent residence, without that condition. It works for us in other EEA countries.
Their spouse also has a right to reside here. Any family member can, provided that they can support them
