I got through to the guard today.
I put deoderant on my hands but it was so cold i don't think i needed it. But all went well and we were on the news. It was only for about a minute on the itv anglia news and there wasn't a clsoe up of my, although there was a wide shot of all of the guard of honour so if you zoomed in on that shot you would have been able to see me.

We were practicing all day yesterday and we got up at stupid o'clock this morning, had breakfast did another two hours practice, had something else to eat, got changed and did it all, including a mile or so march. I'm jsut glad that they did change arms when they did (has to be at least evry 10 mins)

Different aunt and uncle . . . . . these one's live half an hour to the other side of Norwich, and were there out of randomness to do shopping and heard the band and went to see what was going on and they saw the sea cadets, and started looking for me, then after we'd gone by they saw mum and dad who were on the other side of the squads and they had lunch together.
Well done molly - you're not expected to be able to see who's there, a bit like not being able to see your family in a theatre audience. You might yet make the BBC local news but they shoot miles of footage nobody ever sees, they're always filming at the Yacht Club down here with some story or another, sometimes the shots are only a few seconds if they show them. Another hurdle passed for you though!

I want to be a marine biologist but i'll be an instructor. I wouldn't make it into the navy on medical grounds, even if i did ok on my a-levels but didn't get into uni, I might have been able to go in as an officer if I didn't have all these things wrong with me.
As I saw a bbc news van i'm going to watch look east to see if they mention it today.
