i recently went out on a lads day out and had drunk way to much i was kicked out of 1 of my local pub and was argueing my case as to y i got chucked out when i was hit by a bloke, being in the state i was i reacted and threw the bloke to the floor and hit him a few times and put in a kick, they say that that i have broken his leg, even though i never touched it i'v also found out that it was under rehabilitation before the inccident, i also fractured his eye socket. i'v been put up for a gbh charge with no previous record and genrally a good lad anyways im planning on pleading guilty the whole way through, what do you think the outcome will be ?

Id hazard a fine, + suspended sentence.

Least you admit to having drunk too much, lads night or no lads night Id hope you set a limit now.

its completly changed me, yeah i did like having a scrap and a good drink but realising the damage that i have done but now even the mention of a fight i walk away

i see fighting as a problem, but if i dont have the choice i do it and by like i dont mean like hurting someone really badly just the rush you get off it. since iv done this i have walked away from any bit of trouble just dont want to be involved at all

if he hit you unprovoked, it doesn't necessarily matter how much you'd had to drink; but it would be helpful to have witnesses who'd testify to this.

witnesses claim he try to say calm down and i just hit him, cctv shows he goes for me throwing a punch but it freezes just as hes about to connect

iv answer bail on a charge of abh which then got changed to gbh on bail again while i wait for medical records to be looked at then im likely to go magistrates and the to crown court

okies, well hopefully you have a comptent legal advisor who has explained it all.

If the injuries sustained amount to GBH then it may be that you could bargin plea a Sec 20 assault as opposed to the more serious Sec 18 assault. When you know what you have been charged with people on here will be able to advise accordingly regarding the sentence.

Out of interest, who tried to eject you from the premises ?

How d'you feel about the damage to the bloke's eye? Does it worry you he could be blind? Maybe have his leg pinned that could lead to arthritis and definitely be painful in cold weather.....that could effect his work-life?

I fear you're not too sorry about the injuries you caused but only worried at justice being metered out to you. All because you had too much to drink !

i do feel bad about what i done but this person has a daughter right next door to me, he is all fine what hes told the police is completly different to what iv been seeing as an example he has said hes been in a cast for six weeks after 2 weeks i seen him walking unaided then 3 weeks later driving around in a car to me if you have broken your leg that bad you should have a cast on for 6 weeks and not be able to do that sort of stuff also claiming double vision which again he shouldn't be driving a car, i do worry about what iv done and i was out of order but his son has told me hes going for compensation and he seems to be making up lies to get it, its gbh without intent i think that section 20

well i would like to set the record straight for these un informed users on this forum jg18!! you were on a lads night out, and was causing hassle in all the pubs you went into that night, the one you were thrown out of was for causing a fight in. the man you hit is 63!!! you were charged with intent because you hit him, then walked away, then went back and stamped on his head and leg!!! INTENTIONALLY CAUSING GREVIOUS BODILY HARM!!! its a good the man dropped the charge to GBH to get it over and done with. and i feel you are very lucky only to be given 12 months. oh, by the way, the compensation charge will hit you when you are out in a year!! HAPPY XMAS!!!!
