My bread maker instructions make it very clear that I should put the ingredients in in the exact order in the recipe. The FH did it "his way" today and it went belly up. Can anyone explain why?

Not a fan of bread makers
Because he didnt follow the instructions :-)
Always liquid first so the dry ingredients wouldn't stick to the bottom.

Does FH mean 'Fat Head'? :-)
About half way down page.
Think it means future husband
OMG that definition didn't occur to me. Sorry Barmaid.
I used to have a bread maker but I couldn't get a good result with it so I gave it away.
also something to do with the yeast starting to work too soon, with the sugar etc, so it goes in last ...if i remember rightly
I gave mine away, eating too much bread, it was too nice.
if OH is Other Half then FH must be F...... Half
I use my breadmaker to the dough stage and then knock back, prove and bake in the oven - takes out most of the hard work and gives a much better loaf.
