Thunderbird vs. WindowsMail

Given the choice - which one would you choose please? I am (still) using Firefox over IE8.

I would personally go for thunderbird from those two, but it is personal preference, they will both do the same job.

I use Evolution on my Ubuntu machines, but when I tried the Windows version it was pretty cr@ppy. I use Windows Live Mail on my W7 machine and "The Bat!" on my XP (Workhorse machine). I could never quite see what advantage Thunderbird was supposed to offer.

I've not had any problems with evolution for windows.

Though, Mr-h, if you were to make sure that you use IMAP for your mail rather than POP3 (assuming the provider supports IMAP) then you can use as many different email programs as you like and they will all automatically stay in sync with each other, this means you can give different ones a go and see which you like.

This will only work if you make sure you use IMAP for all of the different clients though.

Try the latest Windows Live Mail 2011 you will be surprised at what they have done with it .It is completely overhauled with features it never had before.
