You're too early Bobbi. Make sure it doesn't run out of petrol before Sunday. By the way, the clocks go back on Sunday so all you Hallowe'en lovers will get an extra hour to enjoy it.
No it shouldn't because it represents the sacred paghan sabbat of Samhain.
The "devilish" connotations were invented by christians.
The so called "devil" is a christain god-form and nothing to do with the original pagan concept.
Party on pumpkin-heads :-)
a) I love parsnips, probably my favourite veg
b) I loathe Hallowe'en with a vengeance since the US trick or treat habit found its way over the Atlantic. My Go Away signs (courtesy of the Police force ASB unit) are already in my windows. Since we had fireworks at the weekend, two weeks ahead of GFD, we generally expect with sheet-wearing brigade any time now. Sorry kids, clear off.
Ive only ever heard my dogs growl once or twice, if I could get them to growl through the letter box, we would never be bothered by kids again, it really is a growl that would turn you to stone, from the very depths of hell!!!
Ok but I like the comfort of spending an evening thinking about those who I loved but have departed....lighting candles and weather permitting a bonfire in the garden
I will provide a suitable selection of treats (with a few tricks) and if Bobbi brings my bl00dy broomstick back I could pop round to the rest of the coven for a nice cup a soup tail of newt flavour
