Baby Sitting Rates

A 15 year old girl is going to 'baby' sit our two kids (8 & 4 yrs) for an evening. Can anyone please tell me what a suitable rate of payment would be?

Well, how much are your kids worth? Just - kidding, I believe the going rate is about �20 and a lift home.

usually i get about �20 for 4-5 hours depending on who the child is!! i.e. the more chaotic and lively then the more money i seem to get! If the child is asleep when i get there till when i leave then its usually less money! Plus i drive so i dont know if that makes a difference! i'd say �4-�5 an hour. T x

Thanks, rekstout and Tizzy. In this case, we will be out from 7pm to 11pm and we can transport her before and after. The 4 yr old will be alseep when she arrives and the 8 yr old will just need a story and will go to bed at 9pm. So, she is likey to have a pretty easy time.
