Thermo problem with central heating
Seems like I have a problem with thermostat. When I turn it slightly I can hear a click and bolier kicks on but if I want to turn the heating off and turn thermo other way then it still clicks but heating does not go off.
Am I right that if I replace thermo then problem would be solved or could it be something else?

There is a small dial on the bolier as well and that (I was told) has to do with how hot water I want and BG engineer set that on 4 and told me that this is the most economical temp. Unfortunately can't post pic right now as I am not at home where the boiler is. But one thing may help that when heating was not stopping then I turned the bolier off from the main and restarted again after few minutes and then heating stayed off.

Update - First of all thanks to all of you. I bought another thermo and decided to change myself as per the instructions in a DIY manual I have. Opened it up but one thing DIY manual nor new thermo had that where the wires will go. No N,L or E. So I decided to call one of my clients who is a qualified electrician and he changed that for me. Although even he thought that there might have been something else not working the way it should. But that change of thermo solved the problem.
Thanks to all of you once again.
