Old grow bags.

What is the best thing to do with old grow bag compost. I have several in which tomatoes were grown and now are just a mass of old roots . Should I cut it up and use it as mulch or is it suitable to be added to the compost bin or is there a better use ?

We are constructing a new raised bed for our herb garden, all this years old compost will go into it and be refreshed with John Innes and someTomorite fertiliser, works well every year. Prudentia xxxx
best to compost it to get rid of any disease or weed seeds that may be in it
I put it in my containers to about half depth and top up with new compost...the following year I spread it on the flower beds
