Hi Sqad. I have never had it xrayed but I can feel it. I usually notice it because every time I shave my legs (lovely image, I know) and go over that area I nick myself. There is a definate indent which I can't feel in my left shin. I guess it would be my tibia - which is rather a solid bone isn't it.
milly....it is..........but is doesn´t sound a big deal. Sometime in the past you may well have knocked it, bruised it and when the bruise subsided it left a "dent"
Yeah I thought so. It doesn't bother me, except for when I bleed 12 pints of blood from one tiny nick (there's a whole other question). I was just intrigued really. Thanks Sqad.
My mum got slammed into a concrete post by a horse. Airlifted off the farm and everything but no break. She was in agony though and after the bruise went it left a clear dent in her thigh. More of a muscular area I know, but there was no damage to the bone whatsoever, think a break might have been a bit easier.
It might be possible to create a dent in osteoporotic bones without causing a fracture...any of the older members volunteering for a scientific experiment?
