Hardy Evergreen Climbers
I have just removed all the ivy from my garden wall.This North facing and want to plant a fast growing evergreen climber but easy to maintain which will withstand cold wind etc.Do not want ivy again.

Thanks for replies.Had no problem with the ivy that I but it grew so thick,,should have given it a trim every year,I suppose.
Having now removed it,there is a great possibility it will grow back..did a few years back when it was removed ..but thought I would like something with flowers.Course would have kill off the ivy roots first.
Have got Ceanothus in the garden which is also facing North plus on a windy corner..has grown huge.
On reading about Hydrangea Petiolaris ,seems that it would be OK on the wall,so will probably try it.
