Does anyone find Harry And Paul funny?

I don't. In fact I find it bizarre that a duo who have created some of Britain's best TV comedy in the last 20 years should come up with such claptrap. I didn't even titter once

The spirit of innovation and willingness to experiment gave us The Fast Show - and carries on here.
The Writer and the Landlady sketches are wonderfully dark and offbeat, the 'chav' family with the constantly barking dog, it's all different, and like all sketch shows, some hit the mark better than others.
But it's always been like that. Take an objective look at Python - some of it was seriously weak, but the strong material is immortal.
I applaud the two of them for continuing to look for new ideas and new comedy areas - an example to those whould would follow them.

I used to, but not anymore. Twenty years ago their comedy was fresh and topical. What they're doing now is just the same old stuff with different characters.
Agreed, Python is a timeless classic. And the early Harry Enfield stuff is also still funny - I still hear people doing 'Jesse Diets' and 'Wayne and Waynetta Slob' impressions, and my bloke still says 'Scorchio' when it's hot.
But if the Python team were to revive what they did and put a new version on British TV, most of us would think it tired and stupid.
Good comedy is like a woodland flower or a wild animal - lovely to see, but best left where it belongs.

I must admit, when I listen to some of the new comedy shows that Radio Four broadcasts in their 18:30 slot, i fail to raise even a glimmer of a smile.
Similarly, on one or two of the Saturday lunchtime slots when they put on new stand-up artists - they are just dire.
I have a wide-ranging sense of humour, but i really struggle to find a lot of modern comedy even vaguley amusing - the most recent offender being 'Little Britain'.
