My friend has HIV, was diagnosed 3 years ago. They're coming to visit and I have a toddler. Am i putting my baby at risk?

Would you have them to stay in these circumstances?
Thanks x

I second that NVH, you have every right to question your friends visit.
NVH - yogi is absolutely right, posts are always available for all sorts of replies. But I really rate B00 for her apology - nice one. You had a really positive reply from k8bailey too. My neighbour is HIV+ but we exchange kisses (of the friends type) and I have never worried about it, though I have no young ones around to consider. Carry on asking NVH - just be prepared to ignore certain answers - it is the price we all pay who come and post on a public forum. Good luck
TTfn, as always the voice of reason. x

Perhaps NVH just wanted reassurance to know her baby would be safe. I believe when in doubt it's always best to ask.
answer straight forward:- no you are not putting your child at risk , if their was any risk i am sure your friend would have declined your offer to visit.
