Anyone remember their gran singing this one ?

♫Oh Jemima, look at your uncle Jim,
He's in the duck pond learning how to swim.
First he does the Breaststroke, then he does the Side,

We sang it at Guide camps in the early 1950s .There were five verses. Just looked them up in my campfire ( old original,hand written) song book.
He was " off for a hike"
"Trying to get slim"
"Playing a game of rugby"
Learning to drive a motor", where he finishes " Driving along in peace,In a nice quiet, safe, slow hearse"

Aunty Mary had a canary

Every night she went to bed
and showed it Uncle George...........my Mum told me that one recently, she is 92 and has dementia!
Also one that begins.....
Aunty Nelly with a big fat belly.....perhaps I shouldnt go on!!!
