Pink Frosting for cupcakes

I want to make some cupcakes for the office tomorrow for 'Pink' day and although ive mastered cupcake basics with plain and chocolate frosting, how can i get some pink frosting - is it as simple as just adding a couple of drops of food colour or do i need to adjust the rest of the recipe as well?

Make the icing from water and icing sugar and add a couple of drops of red food colouring. The more you add the darker and redder the colour obviously, but unless you add the whole bottle it will only ever look pink, not red.
