The things I love most about Christmas, regardless of the origins behind the festival, are cooking a meal for all the family, wearing silly paper hats and pulling crackers, decorating the tree and having the fire on whilst playing chrismassy songs, and drinking lots and lots of lovely wines and liqueurs. It's the one time of the year that you really do put some effort into a family meal.
