Not asked to babysit but is it ok to chum my sister?
10 Answers
My sister got asked to babysit for some family friends. I have nothing better to do that night and want to go to. They normally ask both of us but this time it was just her. My mum thought it was because they maybe didn't want to pay both of us, but I don't want any money, Is it still rude of me to go without asking? Just saying I am keeping her company?

How old is your sister? Maybe they previously thought she was a little young to be babysitting alone and that it made sense for both of you to be there as extra security but they now feel your sister is old enough to go it alone and asking you would be a hassle for you. I used to go along with my (older) sister to sit for my cousins regularly, but when she got a bit older my aunt would just ask her - I think she just felt better with 2 of us there until sis turned 16 or something. Just ask if it's ok to keep her company - they can only say no :)
