Ok, i'm struggling here, how on earth do I create an avatar on here? When I go to 'activate avatar' on my profile....nothing! Can anyone guide me? TIA....Dagman

Just make sure you use exactly the same email address on Gravatar as you do here; the usernames can be different, they don't matter for linking your Gravatar account with your AB account.

I know what you mean Dagman, I did succeed once with a avatar but when I tried to put in another one by following all the instructions, all I could get was a blacked out square instead of a new picture of what I had in my photo album, so I gave up also. Needless to say I had a lot of help previously from `factor30` whom had great patience with me.

I ran into problems straight away because I first registered on this site under a different defunct email address when I had a different Isp, and that means mucking about apparently to sort it and achieve little really so I simply said it was daft (to try lol!). Thanks anyways for your quick reply.

Have you given Gravatar your present e/mail address without changing the original one which you provided to AnswerBank.

Click 'My Profile' then click 'Edit My Profile'......Check to see what address appears for your e/mails and,if it is your old one,change it to your present one; which no doubt you have given to Gravatar.

Hopefully your problem will then be solved.
