CRB Section five
I was wondering how long a section five lasts on ones record. I was caught peeing in an alley after a night out in 2008 and issued an £80 fine and told I would hear no more about it.
However, two years down the line I applied for a CRB check to volunteer in Thailand and the section 5 public order offence showed up. I am now trying to apply for teaching jobs in Korea and have been told that it is too serious an offence for me to be accepted into the programme. I was wondering if a) there was a way around this, and B) (and most importantly) how long does a section 5 stay on record?
Thanks

I believe that for a fine this is 7 years if you were 18 or over when the fine was issued. However if you plan to work with vulnerable groups ie children or the elderly then the conviction is never spent and therefore will always have to be declared and in any case will show up on an enhanced CRB check
