Your question fascinated me, so thought that I would also give an answer.

I beleive that yes, the mind can enter a state of altered reality through meditation and through this, imaginings of all kind can take place. Telekenisis is only a notion and a science fiction one at best, but if any one human had the unique monopoly over all others with the power of the mind, then they would soon be discovered and detained in a laboratory indefinitely!

My personal beleif is that anyone can convince themselves of anything and in extreme cases, end up as high profile fantastists. Magicians for example, are highly practiced and skilled artisans, yet are fully aware that they and no more than this. No one escapes an audience if they have some unique trait, so if there was anyone out there with telekinetik powers, the rest of the globe would certainly know all about it.
