Energy Drinks for kids ???
27 Answers
I work in a cafe where we sell RedBull and other similar energy drinks. I know it is not illegal to sell energy drinks to kids but there is a warning on the cans saying 'Not recommended for Children'. Today for the first time I was confronted with a child (about 9-10 yr old) wanting to buy one of these. I asked him if his mother was aware he was buying it and he said yes so sold it to him, but I actually felt uncomfortable selling it to a youngster. They are so high in caffeine and I'm wary that the child may become hyper active on the drink or drink it to excess for their age, not being aware of the health risks.
How would you feel if your child drank these energy drinks so high in caffeine? Do you worry? Would you have sold it to them or how would you approach it if a child tried to buy one from you? Do you think these drinks should have an age restriction? Any suggestions please or comments on this matter please ?

Insomnia, heart palpitations, irregular heart beats, jitters, diarrhea, copious urination and addiction as well as withdrawal symptoms are something that the kids shouldn't ever see in their childhood.

One of the finest compliments I was ever paid was shortly after I moved to my last school. After a particularly silly staff meeting chaired by an equally silly Headmaster, one of the senior lady members of staff took me aside and said, "Mike, what are you doing here, you're far too intelligent to be a teacher!"
The winter months are December January and February
Spring. March,April and May
Summer, June, July and August
Autumn, September, October, November.
To say that November is the winter makes it Winter: November, December & january
Spring - February, MArch and April
Summer, May, June & July
Autumn, August, september & October
That is just nonsense.
We are in Scotland and have just raked the last of the leaves from the trees this weekend.
It's not an exact science, but that was just one example that I remember from the rubbish she would tell them - and she just regurgitated the same lessons year after year. Never moving the kids on, never doing anything with them. I have two sons a year apart and they both had her for P3 - they did the same topics, the same homework etc - yet they get time to prepare lessons - what exactly was she using hers for?
