When you go to Start > Programs, you'll probably see a program listed for your printer. Underneath it there might be an option to 'uninstall'. If so, that's what you need to select to get the software off your printer. Then you'd need to reload the software from the disc which came with the printer.
If there's no 'uninstall' option from Start>Programs you'll need to go to 'Add/Remove Programs'. However you get there different ways depending upon your version of Windows. So (if you don't know how to get there yourself), you'd have to tell me which version of Windows you've got.
However, before uninstalling all of the software, it might be worth simply attempting to reinstall the printer driver. To do so, click here:

(If you see a dialog box, click to 'Accept' and then on 'Download')
Click on 'Save File'
Use the drop-down menu to change the 'Save In' box to 'Desktop'
Click 'Save'
After the file has downloaded, you'll see its icon on your desktop.
Double-click on it to install the driver.
After the driver has been installed, restart your PC and see if the printer will now work.
(You can then right-click on that new desktop icon, and select 'Delete' to get rid of it).
