Internet connection closes

Help appreciated please.

Each time I try to install Mcafee BT Net Protect Plus my internet connection closes down before final installation takes place.
Other times it just lists components and states failed.
No help from BT except to say maybe it is a settings problem and to return it for repair.

Any Ideas.

Are you trying to install Macfee direct form Internet or some installation Disk you have?
If you are installing is direct form Internet try to disable your firewall or any other security protection.

disable the firewall from the computer.
installed the mcafee from the computer

manually check all the ip settings.

if the problem comes again do not installed mcafee .

I have just had an operative from BT's home IT support who found a conflict with
MalWareBytes and McAfee and solved the problem for me.
It also speeded up my BT Broadband considerably.
It's worth signing up to as they have helped on other occasions also.
