Hair disaster!

I've just highlighted my hair at home and I'm unhappy with the results. Unfortunately I've thrown away the instructions, and I'm wondering if it'd be safe to apply a permanent all-over colour right away?

I would be careful as the bleach makes your hair a lot more porous so any colour you put on will be stonger on the bleached parts. Better to tone the colour using something like Born Blonde. If you want to go ahead and use a permenant colour I would choose one slightly lighter than the colour you want. And plenty of conditioner! I am no professional, just talking from experience! You don't say what your natural colour is. If a light brown or similar, you could try re-highlighting with a light brown shade to tone down the blonde.

Is it too late to buy coloured gel which you could I suspect get away with running through your hair.It might actually look as though you have had a couple of colours put in.I wouldnt at least for a couple of days use anything else because my hair went green when same happened to me - honestly.

Asda or Tescos might have it cos they have a seperate chemist bit as well.

Thanks for the advice you guys. I've sorted it now - thank goodness! My hair went really brassy, almost orange! Anyway, I found I had a dye at home as I couldn't face going to the shops, LoL. So it's now a very dark brown, which doesn't suit me, but I'll go to the hairdressers on Monday. 

I've learned a lesson and won't be colouring it again myself. Best leave it to the pro's eh? I'm actually laughing now...lucky I had that dye?!
